Work horse

Horrible over-priced washer

My old Maytag Neptune was wonderful, but this one stinks -- no light in the drum, a timer that keeps changing and thus means nothing. I would gladly pay twice the price of this new machine to...

Not for pet owners
This model does not have a filter that is accessible to the owner. It never occurred to me that a machine would be designed in such away. One has to have an appliance tech come out to clean the filter, and if the household has pets, it'll happen more than once a year. Who made the decision to prevent the homeowner from doing the most basic of maintenance steps? My pets have short hair. I can't imagine what this is costing those with longer hair.

Happy so far.

My first Maytag!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My mom always had Maytag washing machines, including wringer style! This is the first Maytag I've ever owned! I've had my laundry pair for 2 weeks. So far so good! They are relatively quiet when operating. Easy to follow instructions. Not many bells & whistles as my previous pair, but then I didn't use all of them anyway. Still learning what the best settings are for my laundry. At this point, I have yet to understand the "extra power" option. I do wish I had a rinse and spin setting. I followed the instructions to turn on cycle complete signal and adjust the volume, but even at loudest, it is barely audible unless I'm standing next to the machine.

Cleans big loads

Love the controles

More plusses than minuses
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently bought this and like the way the machine handles my laundry - no more tangled shirts and trousers. But wiping down the inside of the door and the rubber seal and making sure the detergent dispenser and machine door are left open to prevent mold is a minor negative.
